In this world, those who desire success in actions worship the various demigods, since material rewards manifest quickly.

Bhagavad-Gita-Chp-4-Verse-12 — Shloka-HBR-Patel

In this world, people often seek instant gain. Those pleasure seekers worship the demigods and seek the material benefits. Those celestial gods grants boon and those people get material pleasure which is temporary and materialistic. Such celestial gods grants with the power bestowed upon them by the Supreme Bhagwan.

People with materialistic mindset approach such demigods and do not focus on the path of liberation. For them the temporary gain trumps the need to attain liberation.

To gain the material rewards is the desire of many and for that many abandon the path of liberation. They forsake the ultimate truth to gain temporary pleasure. Life is all about pleasure without focusing on the ultimate journey. Such, people fail to liberate from the cycles of birth and death.

So, it is better to walk on the path of liberation rather than seeking temporary pleasures.
