तस्मात्त्वमिन्द्रियाण्यादौ नियम्य भरतर्षभ |
पाप्मानं प्रजहि ह्येनं ज्ञानविज्ञाननाशनम् || 41||

Therefore, O Arjuna, first you must bring the senses under control and slay this enemy called desire, which is the embodiment of sin and the destroyer of knowledge and realization.

Bhagwan Shri Krishna reveals the method to overcome the lust after providing the location of that enemy. Bhagwan Shri Krishna provides a better technique to avoid being pulled in by desires and controlled by the urges of the senses.

Bhagwan Shri Krishna points out to Arjuna that to stop being controlled by the Kaama or lust, one must immediately control the urges at the level of the senses. We must first control the origin of the desires which are the senses and by controlling that origin, we can overpower the lust or desires.
