इन्द्रियाणि मनो बुद्धिरस्याधिष्ठानमुच्यते |
एतैर्विमोहयत्येष ज्ञानमावृत्य देहिनम् || 40||

The senses, the mind, and the intellect are said to be its abode. Through them, it clouds one’s knowledge/discrimination and deludes the embodied soul.

Bhagavad-Gita-Chp-3-Verse-40-Shloka-HBR-Patel

Bhagwan Shri Krishna reveals the location of the Kaama or lust or desires to Arjuna. By revealing the location of the lust, Bhagwan Shri Krishna indicates that there is a method of controlling it.

Bhagwan indirectly points out to Arjuna that he can overpower the desires by knowing its covert location. The desires that have clouded his senses, and making it difficult for Arjuna to pick up the weapon to fight the war.

By knowing the location of the Karmayogi’s enemy, Karmayogi can have a strategic advantage against that enemy and can easily overpower it. Bhagwan Shri Krishna indicates that lust or Kaama, the eternal enemy, resides in three locations.
