इन्द्रियस्येन्द्रियस्यार्थे रागद्वेषौ व्यवस्थितौ |
तयोर्न वशमागच्छेत्तौ ह्यस्य परिपन्थिनौ || 34||

Attachment and aversion of the senses to their sense objects is unavoidable. One should not be controlled by them; since they are the obstacles in one’s path.

Bhagwan Shri Krishna explains to Arjuna the tendency of the senses. They are naturally inclined to some things or situations. While they despise other things or situations. Like and dislike is the innate nature of the senses.

Every individual has their likes and dislikes attached to their senses. Some sense object gives pleasure to one individual while that same sense object may inspire aversion to some other individual. We have our own set of likes and dislikes and Bhagwan Shri Krishna, warns us about that.

When we cave in to the likes and dislikes of the sensory organs, we take a detour from the original path that we are supposed to be on to attain liberation…
