अन्नाद्भवन्ति भूतानि पर्जन्यादन्नसम्भव: |
यज्ञाद्भवति पर्जन्यो यज्ञ: कर्मसमुद्भव: ||14||

All living beings are created from food, and food is produced from the rains. Yagna (performance of sacrifice) gives birth to rain, and Yagna(sacrifice) is born out of the performance of prescribed duties.

Bhagwan Shri Krishna points out the importance of performing one’s action or performing Yagan. The importance of performing the action is pointed out by the Bhagwan in a cyclic manner. Bhagwan Shri Krishna points out the importance of performing sacrificial actions by pointing out that our existence solely depends on that.

We, human beings, and other living entities solely rely on the food for our existence, be it the reason behind our birth or the reason behind our sustenance.
