देवान्भावयतानेन ते देवा भावयन्तु व: |
परस्परं भावयन्त: श्रेय: परमवाप्स्यथ || 11||

With this Sacrifice (Yagna) unto the celestial gods will be propitiated, the demigods being pleased will make you prosper. And by cooperation between humans and the celestial gods, you will attain the supreme blessings.

The devatas, who reside in the swarga(celestial place above our place of existence) are not the Bhagwan but are just the administrators posted by the Bhagwan to ensure the smooth running of our existence. Like Varuṇa Dev (the god of the water), Agni Dev (the god of fire), Vāyu Dev (the god of the wind), Indra Dev (the king of the celestial gods), etc.

They are just souls who on the order of the Bhagwan perform specific tasks assigned to them for our sustenance.

When we perform our Karma without any attachment to the fruits of that action or when we perform the Yagna, those devatas gets pleased. They are pleased by our…
