स्थित्वास्यामन्तकालेऽपि ब्रह्मनिर्वाणमृच्छति || 72||
Having gained the realization of the Ultimate Truth, O Partha, which is known as the Brahmi Stiti in which one never gets deluded. If one gets established in this state even at the time of death, he is assured to gain liberation from the Material Bondages and attains oneness with brahman.
The ultimate goal of the soul that is born on this earth is to attain liberation. The human form that the soul assumes is not the real identity but it is a mere tool to liberate from the materialistic bondage. Just like in ancient times, when one gets hurts due to the thorn and some part of that thorn remains inside, another thorn is used to remove that thorn. A thorn is in itself used to remove the thorn. Hot iron is molded into useful things by the iron itself.
