हतो वा प्राप्स्यसि स्वर्गं जित्वा वा भोक्ष्यसे महीम् |
तस्मादुत्तिष्ठ कौन्तेय युद्धाय कृतनिश्चय: || 37||
O son of Kunti, if you are killed, you will enter the heavenly worlds and if you gain victory, you will enjoy here in this world. Therefore, arise and fight with determination.
Bhagwan Shri Krishna continues to motivate Arjuna to fight the battle and let go of all the misconceptions that he has about slaying the enemies that are his family and friends.
Arjuna is in a state of grief because of the attachment to his relatives of the mortal body and thus he is not keen on fighting any of them on the battlefield.
Bhagwan Shri Krishna highlights the fact that it is the duty of a Kshatriya and a mighty warrior like Arjuna to fight this war.
If enemies kill Arjuna while fighting this war, Arjuna would heavenly world. If Arjuna emerges victorious, then he will enjoy the kingdom of this earth.
It is a win-win situation for Arjuna, so he must fight this war because he would benefit in both cases.
