Your enemies will say many malicious and insulting words about you. They will condemn your prowess. What could be more painful than this?

Bhagavad-Gita-Chp-2-Verse-36-Shloka-HBR-Patel

Arjuna’s duty is to fight for the restoration of the dharma and the attachment to his friends and family is hindering him to perform his righteous duty as a Kshatriya. Arjuna decides to abandon his duty which is to fight the war.

Shri Krishna enlightens the grief-stricken Arjuna with ultimate wisdom so as to motivate him to fight the war.

Arjuna is still unsure and Shri Krishna highlights the worldly consequence of not fighting this war out of compassion to family and friends. The enemy on the other side of the battlefield will think that the Arjuna is not fighting this war because he is a coward.
