न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचि
नायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूय: |
अजो नित्य: शाश्वतोऽयं पुराणो
न हन्यते हन्यमाने शरीरे || 20||

The soul never takes birth and never dies at any time nor is it that it has come into existence and thus, it will cease to exist. The soul is birthless, eternal, imperishable, and timeless. It is never destroyed when the body is destroyed.

Bhagwan Shri Krishna continues to highlight the true nature of our existence. With this shloka, Almighty reinforces the attributes of the soul that is our true identity.

People mix up the true identity and it becomes the source of misery and depression in their life. Once they know their true identity, the problems will fail to torment us.
