श्रीभगवानुवाच |
कुतस्त्वा कश्मलमिदं विषमे समुपस्थितम् |
अनार्यजुष्टमस्वर्ग्यमकीर्तिकरमर्जुन || 2||

Shri Bhagwan (Shri Krishna) said: From where has this weakness overcome you in this hour of peril? It is not befitting an honorable person. It leads not to the higher abodes and is the cause of infamy, O Arjuna.

The motivational talk begins. The Bhagavad Gita begins. The meaning of the word Bhagavad Gita is Song of God, and Shri Krishna starts speaking from this shloka.

Shri Krishna directly delivers the message without sugar-coating it. Shri Krishna enquires from Arjuna that where has this delusion arisen in him in this hour of crisis.

Shri Krishna speaks the truth and points out to Arjuna that the consequences of the delusional state that Arjuna is in. Arjuna would not reach heaven by harboring such delusion and it might result in infamy and failure in life.
