धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दुर्बुद्धेर्युद्धे प्रियचिकीर्षव: || 23||

Let me see those warriors who have come here to fight in this battle as the well-wishers of the evil-minded son of Dhritarashtra.

Bhagavad-Gita-Chp-1-Verse-23-Shloka-HBR-Patel

Arjun is preparing hid mind to fight in this battle and he is confident & well-prepared for it, as pointed in the previous shlokas.

He is fortunate that Bhagwan Shri Krishna has agreed to be his charioteer for the battle. Arjuna was ready to fight this war to right the wrong done by the evil-minded son of Dhritarashtra (Duryodhana).

With crooked ways, Pandavas were duped of their Kingdom and sent away to 13 years of exile. Now was the ripe time to avenge that humiliation.

Arjuna wanted to see the faces of those friends and family who instead of fighting for his “Just Cause”, choose the side of evil-minded Duryodhana. He wanted to see the faces of the people who were there to fight, only to please Duryodhana. Arjuna was confident that he will soon punish them.

Arjuna was confident but also a Mortal Human Being and soon enough that confidence would replace something different, under the influence of Maya.
