Hi…
There is power in Enthusiasm.
Enthusiasm to achieve the goal.
Enthusiasm of doing something constructive.
Enthusiasm to be something good.
It is said in the above shloka by the Lakshman.
And who it is said to?
Prabhu Shri Ram.
Not that Prabhu Shri Ram needed the motivation to be cheerful in the gleeming scenario but he came on this earth to enlighten all of us on how to be, when life is challenging you at every corner.
The shloka found in the Kishkindha Kanda of the Ramayana is
उत्साहो बलवानार्य नास्त्युत्साहात्परं बलम् ।
सोत्साहस्य लोकेषु न किञ्चिदपि दुर्लभम् ॥O Noble One (Rama), Enthusiasm is very powerful. There is nothing more powerful than enthusiasm. Verily, there is nothing unattainable in this world for the enthusiast.
Prabhu Shri Ram and Lakshman are searching for Maa Sita and in their journey they arrive in the kingdom of Kishkindha. It is the same where they meet Hanuman and Sugriv.
Prabhu Shri Ram displays the human qualities of disappointment, even though he is the supremely divine force.
He feels distressed and disheartened by the prolonged and seemingly fruitless search for Maa Sita.
Observing his brother’s despair, Lakshman steps in to offer words of encouragement and support. He recites this shloka to remind Prabhu Shri Ram of the power of enthusiasm and the importance of maintaining a positive and determined mindset.
Lakshman’s intention behind reciting this shloka is to uplift Prabhu Shri Ram’s spirits and reinforce the idea that enthusiasm is a formidable strength.
He emphasizes that with unwavering enthusiasm, no goal is too difficult to achieve. This message is meant to inspire Prabhu Shri Ram to continue their quest with renewed vigor and hope.
